Hi, I would like to share some tips today on installing the car radio in the Opel Astra J. This car radio is very popular in Europe, but some of our customers are still unsure how to make it fit into their car after purchasing this unit.
Connection
The first step, when you receive the unit, is to connect all the wires correctly as shown in the following photo.
Canbus Setting
This setting is very important for car information to work properly, such as door information, SWC (Steering Wheel Controls), etc.
Note: During installing the frame of the car radio, Sometimes the outer frame and buttons will have the following problems:
I. Some buttons may not work. When they do not work, please refer to the following methods to connect:
1.ECO button:
Connect the seventh pin of the original car's ECO button plug to the seventh pin of the plug pointed by the arrow on the outer frame.
2.Car traction button:
Connect the fourth pin in the original car's ECO button plug to the fourth pin of the plug pointed by the arrow on the outer frame.
3.Hazard Light:
Connect the original Hazard Light plug to the plug pointed by the arrow on the outer frame.
II. The outer frame or some buttons are not properly installed.
1.SPORT /OPC button
Need to manually cut the position of the outer frame button and extend the wiring harness.
2. Bottom of outer frame
Need to cut manually.
3. The plugs of the buttons on the outer frame are not suitable for insertion.
Need to take out the frame of the button first and then cut it manually.
